Frequently asked questions
Do I need special hardware for check-in?
No. Staff scan with the free Entrly app on their own phones, and participants show their QR credential from theirs — or wear a printed badge. There's nothing to rent or install.
Is Entrly free for participants?
Yes — participant accounts are always free, on the web and in the iOS and Android apps. Tiers only apply to the spaces organizers run.
Can I change tiers later?
Yes — upgrades apply immediately and downgrades take effect at the end of the billing period. Each space has its own subscription, so you can mix tiers across spaces.
What counts as a participant?
Anyone registered to your space. Team members don't count against the participant limit.
Is there a trial?
The Free tier has no time limit — use it as long as you like and upgrade when you hit its limits.
How does billing work?
Subscriptions are billed per space through Stripe — monthly or yearly, whichever you pick. Usage-based extras, where applicable, appear on the same invoice.
